Job DescriptionJob Description

We are a top-tier law firm specializing in estate planning and trust administration for high net worth clients in VA, MD and DC and are looking for an associate attorney for our busy Tysons, VA office.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience with a focus on estate administration, preparation of probate filings and a solid understanding of gift, estate and GST tax issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Administration of estates and trusts, including preparing inventories, accountings and fiduciary notices
  • Preparation of estate and gift tax returns

Key qualifications:

  • Min. 3 years experience in Trusts & Estates
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Information gathering, tracking, and monitoring skills
  • Ability to prioritize, complete simultaneous projects and meet deadlines
  • Self-starter, self-motivated and ability to work on your own
  • Ability to deal professionally and communicate clearly and concisely with colleagues and clients
  • Tax background or accounting is a plus.

Should be admitted to practice in Virginia or able to waive in. Admission in Maryland, D.C., or any other jurisdiction is a plus, but not required.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
