ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Coordinate and shop pricing of all warehouses, truck and jobsite inventory as well as other items as needed for the purchase of said inventory and services while maintaining the lowest cost possible without sacrificing inventory quality. 

Coordinate on-time deliveries of materials, equipment and tools with Business Unit Directors and Warehouse team to ensure the warehouse team as well as job sites receive same when needed. Verify customers, suppliers counts and prices on shipments. Update pricing as items are placed in inventory; maintain computerized PO system; maintain proper minimum/maximum stock levels in coordination with Business Unit Directors and Warehouse team; match incoming supplier shipping tickets to Purchase Orders and submit to accounts payable daily; assist in product and material research for service and sales teams, determining price and availability of products. Fill all back-orders expeditiously ensure rapid project completion and truck re-stock.

 

Coordinate with Warehouse team for pulling materials for vehicle restock; placement of received items into warehouse inventory; track and update all materials in job holding area; administration of warranty returns; maintain cyclical inventory counting, bins, prices, and inventory lists; computer maintenance of inventory system. Assist field technicians in the field when needed with pricing and availability.

 

Meet with vendor sales representatives and develop relationships for long term mutual success, however holding vendors accountable to what is promised and to meet our company expectations.

 

Coordinate with Fleet Manager and Warehouse Director for new vehicle stocking and set up, ensure all boxes/bins are built to specifications and properly filled in the shortest time possible time to ensure new vehicles as well as driver turn-overs are on the road quickly.

Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles, sometimes while towing trailers. Must be able to talk and/or listen both on the phone and/or face-to-face contacts.  Must have good communication skills to interact with vendors, customers, and coworkers. Must be familiar with operating miscellaneous power tools and other tools of the trade. Requires strong mechanical skills and attention to detail. Must be able to work on several projects at once and be able to handle frequent interruptions, either from vendors, coworkers, customers, and telephone.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Must have at least high school degree.

 

Basic computer skills not limited to the use of e-mail and industry related software. (Additional software requirements may be added as the company moves to computerize its inventory system.)

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must speak English well enough to take instructions from Supervisor and to effectively communicate with customers coworkers and vendors as well as read supplier invoices, technician work orders, and other written instructions.  Must be able to take and understand instructions both verbally and/or in writing.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Must be able to successfully complete mathematical aptitude evaluation.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Must be capable of applying sound business judgment to all decisions.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a current valid Driver’s license with a good driving record. Forklift Operators Certification.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regularly requires sitting, walking, bending, and lifting for prolonged periods of time.

 

The employee must have a full range of body movements including the use of hands feet and fingers to handle or feel objects. Able to handle and use tools and equipment and must be capable of bending, reaching, crouching, climbing and crawling.

 

Must have command of all five senses sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste.  Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.  Must hear and speak well enough to conduct business over the telephone or face to face for long periods of time.

 

Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds regularly and up to 125 pounds on occasion.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position will require working indoors and outdoors in various climate conditions ranging from very cold with rain to very hot and humid. This includes warehouse, attics, crawl spaces, and confined locations.  The employee may be called upon to be in customer or service production sites on an as need to basis. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

 

The work is primarily performed on the company premises, which, along with company vehicles, are non-smoking areas. May occasionally be required to work on and make deliveries to customer job sites. There may be possible exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, moderate to high noise levels and/or moving mechanical parts.

 

Typical workweek is eight (8) to ten (10) hour workdays five (5) days per week with regular weekend work, as well as early and/or late weekday meetings with customers, vendors and staff personnel as needed. 

 

This position deals with aggressive personalities in a highly competitive industry and will be stressful.
