CHIEF ENGINEER

Financial & Realty Services, LLC (“FRS”), a facilities management firm located in Calverton, MD is seeking DC 1st Class Engineers (Chief) to service our utility agency client in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs mechanical work required for maintenance of equipment, systems, and facilities in accordance with operation manuals and manufacturers specifications.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on all operational and mechanical equipment.
  • Makes physical inspections of equipment and tests equipment for correct operation of all components.
  • Responds to emergency situations and troubleshoots problems.
  • Supports the scoping of capital and O&M facilities construction/remodel projects, and participates in project status meetings.
  • Day to day operations and maintenance of the facility (cleaning, repairs, interior surfaces, landscaping, utilities, etc.).
  • Maintenance of all base building equipment (chillers, cooling towers, UPS, generators, etc.).
  • Maintain all environmental requirements in accordance with standards.
  • Maintain fire and life safety equipment.
  • Maintain and monitor BAS system.
  • Maintain Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Qualifications:

  • Must have a current DC 1st Class Engineers operating license
  • Must possess at least 10 years of recent (within the past 15 years) relevant experience including responsibility for managing Facility Maintenance teams and the operation and maintenance of a high-rise office building.
  • College degree a plus
  • Experience on a government/utility contract a plus
  • Must be able to work under time constraints based on level of priority
  • Effective communicator, verbal and written correspondence
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks

Must be able to pass a background check.
