Pacific Pioneer Insurance Group is a family of companies in the insurance marketplace. Our retail division – Unico Insurance Agency is seeking an entry-level Customer Service Representative - CSR.

 

About Us

Unico Insurance Agency is a retail insurance brokerage in business since 1980. Unico writes insurance policies for small business and other commercial accounts, primarily within the Asian American communities of Southern California. Many of Unico’s clients are Chinese speaking businessowners. The ideal candidate would be an individual that can speak Mandarin and has experience in the insurance industry as a CSR, Account Manager, or similar role.

 

About the Position:

· Preferred 1-year experience as a CSR or similar position in the insurance industry, preferably commercial property & casualty insurance. This is an Entry-Level role.

· Understands and can follow clerical support procedures. Attention to detail is a must.

· Has the ability to manage account documentation i.e., accurate data entry, policy change, endorsements, cancellations, etc. and able to assist Broker with follow up.

· Able to communicate effectively and develop professional and courteous relationships with an emphasis on customer service with clients, as well as with carrier underwriters.

· Able to take responsibility and function independently, as well as work with team members when needed and take direction from leaders.

· Demonstrates willingness to broaden knowledge & skills.

· Must be honest, reliable, and self-motivated.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

· High School diploma or equivalent required, Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.

· CA Insurance License preferred but not required, will train.

· One or more years of office experience in an insurance agency environment, commercial insurance experience is preferred.

· Ability to speak Chinese/Mandarin required.

· Basic software/technology skills are required, ability to effectively utilize Windows OS, MS Office including Word and Outlook, internet search, and ability to learn agency management systems.

 

Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package including Medical, Dental, and Vision after successfully completing a 60 day probationary period, as well as 401K with employer matching after the first year. We also have paid holidays, vacations, and sick days.

 

This is an in-office position, not remote.

Salary Range for this position is $16 to $25 per hour, depending on experience.

 

Our hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday thru Friday, and we are conveniently located in North Orange County in Cypress, CA.
