Job Title: General Manager

We are a small, family-owned, high-volume seafood restaurant in South Orange County seeking a General Manager. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in restaurants as a General Manager. Ideal candidate would also have strong food knowledge and has had some experience working the BOH. The candidate needs to be a strong leader, highly motivated, detail-oriented, trustworthy, and honest, humble, and possesses a sincere passion for Hospitality. The Manager will closely and simultaneously monitor and optimize profits and guest satisfaction. Further, as it is extremely important to our establishment, the ideal candidate will foster and sustain an environment of respect and safety for our employees, guests, vendors, and the general public alike.

Job Qualifications:

College or University degree preferred - 10+ years of experience as a restaurant manager

Food and Wine knowledge is extremely important.

Basic Accounting skills -Good oral/written communication skills - Strong analytical/decision-making skills

Computer literacy

Job Responsibilities:

Daily responsibilities - manage overall FOH and BOH staff, Ensure Food & Beverage, and Service quality, as well as 100% customer satisfaction

Ensure Occupational Safety and Health Act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security are met

Ensure proper maintenance of equipment, facility, and grounds through the use of Preventative Maintenance plan based on company standard - Ensure a safe working and customer experience environment by facilitating safe work behaviors of the team

Control Profit and Loss by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions

Ensuring employees, service and products are up to company standards, and taking corrective action if these standards are not being met

Recruit, interview, and hire team members; conduct performance appraisals, take disciplinary action, motivate, and train staff

Ensure a complete and timely execution of local marketing programs - Develop, recognize, and sustain “regular” guests

Compensation:

Salary based on experience - min. $80K, plus Health Insurance & Telephone allowance, with a 3-month review for additional salary compensation; plus a Bonus based on performance.
