We are currently seeking a dynamic Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced and patient-centered environment.

Job Description: We are looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Medical Assistant who is passionate about patient care, has a strong work ethic, and can seamlessly integrate into our team. This full-time position is available immediately and offers a long-term career opportunity for the right individual. Punctuality, attention to detail, and a self-starter personality are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in clinic operations and provide support to physicians during in-office procedures.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to email inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Schedule and manage new and existing patient appointments.
  • Prepare patient charts for the next day and organize them according to the schedule.
  • Conduct confirmation calls for upcoming appointments.
  • Coordinate with law offices and other healthcare providers for authorizations and patient scheduling.
  • Obtain approvals for procedures or imaging as required.
  • Process payments and assist with billing inquiries.
  • Support the Office Manager in managing the patient's journey from consultation to surgery and follow-up.
  • Report outdated supplies and ensure medical supplies are stocked.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of medical equipment and exam rooms.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Experience in a medical practice setting (1 year preferred).
  • Experience with EMR systems (1 year preferred).
  • Experience in taking vital signs (1 year preferred).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (preferred but not required).

Salary: Commensurate with experience. Rates can be negotiated for candidates with exceptional qualifications.
