General Statement of Duties: Administrative Assistant I provide administrative support for the Enrollment team, consisting of seven professionals and a Dean. Perform overall administrative support for the admissions Office, including phone coverage, mail handling, calendar management, data entry, travel arrangements, minutes of meetings, and other special projects. Act as a contact point for Enrollment. Implement/improve operating practices, recordkeeping systems, forms control, and budgetary requirements. Prepare/process all invoices and purchase requisitions.
Qualifications: Applicants must have at least (A) two years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in office management, office administration, business administration or business management, the major duties of which included one or more of the following functions: purchasing, personnel management, budgeting, accounting, records management, work simplification, grants management, contract administration or program management, (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
Substitutions:
I. an Associate's or higher degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for the required experience.*
II. an Associate’s or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.*
*Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
Preferred Qualifications: Clerical experience in an institution of higher education, with considerable familiarity with higher education practices, policies, and procedures.
Salary: Biweekly $1,969.30 (Grade 15/Step 1) Annual: $51,201.80 (Grade 15-/Step 1)
Additional Information: FT, benefited position – 12 month

Supervisor: Admissions Office Manager
Shift & Days Off: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
