Job Description:

Identify and qualify potential customers through research, cold calling and following up on leads within a specific territory. Build rapport and trust with existing and new customers to understand their needs and challenges. Develop a strong working relationship with an outside sales team to promote and sell ACO products to various personas such as : Architects, Engineers, Designers, General Contractors, Sub Contractors and ACO Distributors.

Ideal candidate will possess knowledge of shower drain systems and/or have experience selling into Food Service Establishments (FSE's)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES include the following:

  • Identify potential customers using a variety of methods such as researching industry databases, attending tradeshows and building a strong network with other professionals.
  • Engage leads and potential customers through phone calls, emails and social media.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty Continuously learn about the ACO’s products, services, and industry trends through relationship building, ACO literature and knowledge sharing. Interpret construction plans to identify areas where ACO products could be used and prepare quotes
  • Research various lead sources, including subscription services, construction, contractor, government and other internet websites for ACO product opportunities.
  • Identify the Architectural/Engineering firms in specific regions then establish contact in order to coordinate lunch & learn meetings with specifiers and other related contacts.
  • Assist Architects, Engineers, Designers and ACO Distributors with technical and specification information for ACO products prior to purchase order submission, as needed.
  • Enter data from lead sources into ACO Sales Management Software (CRM). Forward each qualified lead to National Sales Manager for referral to appropriate ACO distributor.
  • Work with National Sales Manager as necessary to determine the correct course of action and follow-up for each project and customer relationship
  • Work with Technical Services team to obtain product layouts and Bill of Materials for projects.
  • Prepare and send quotations to contractors and price confirmations to distributors prior to bid dates or as requested.
  • Maintain ACO Sales Management System (CRM) by entering accurate data and relevant information into the appropriate modules along with a follow-up action and date.
  • Follow up with project, participants to determine when a contract has been awarded to a general contractor or sub-contractor, obtain contractor's name and relevant contact details, and forward to Area Sales Manager for follow up.
  • Collaborate with customer service, operations, engineering and other functions as needed in order to resolve any customer issues or concerns
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. (may vary depending on region/territory).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Associate degree and 3 years sales experience or equivalent combination of education, training and related work experience. Ideal candidate possess strong communication and relationship-building skills coupled with related industry experience.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs including, Outlook, Excel, , and PowerPoint.. Must be able to create documents and transfer files
  • Excellent punctuation, grammar and spelling
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents such as plumbing schedules and schematics
  • Ability to write professional correspondence inside and outside the company
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently, be proactive and driven to achieve goals
  • Be persistent and resilient in all customer interactions and maintain a positive attitude
  • Possess confidence to cold call potential leads to research, identify and qualify sales leads
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
