Mid-sized reputable Florida Insurance Defense Litigation Law Firm is seeking to hire an experienced, polished Chief Executive Officer to help oversee operations at our growing firm. You will report to a small panel of the law firm's owners but otherwise you'll oversee most departments within our firm, including Accounting, Human Resources / Firm Administration and IT.
We are seeking a Law Firm CEO to join our team You will provide high-level administrative support for an Executive at our company. Our firm has 3 offices (St. Petersburg, Tampa and Fort Lauderdale - you can work HYBRID out of any of these office locations). THIS IS NOT A FULLY REMOTE POSITION (You'll be expected to be "in office" at least 3 days per week due to the importance of this role and having a presence overseeing the departments).
Responsibilities:
- The Chief Executive Officer has overall operational responsibility and oversight of our law firm (subject to reporting to the small panel of owners)
- Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for leading by example and setting clear strategies and performance expectations in an environment of participation and collaboration with senior management, including the heads of IT, Accounting, HR and other Senior Attorneys.
- Oversees and leads a top-notch administrative team
- Represents the law firm in the highest regard - you'll serve as the firm's representative to the owners, employees, clients, vendors, and the public.
- Making sure our firm stays active in the communities in which we maintain offices
- Analyzing performance - financial results and comparing them to the firm's objectives, and taking action to correct unsatisfactory performance
- Nurtures a culture of shared purpose and goals among these groups, fostering improved working relationships and ensuring consistent quality of providing legal services to our clients
- Helps improve and maintain a positive, innovative company culture
- Exhibits strong communication, presentation, and listening skills to ensure facility-wide collaboration and coordination, especially concerning attorneys, employees, clients, and the community
- In conjunction with the head of Accounting of the firm, the Chief Executive Officer will sign to certify the financials of the firm
- Continues to build solid, effective relationships with appropriate partners, payors, businesses, clients, and the community at large
- Ensures all "best practices" are being implemented in all departments of the firm the CEO is overseeing
- Ensures positive employee relations and trust through communication, education, consistency, and dependability
- Taking decisive action in high-stakes situations, times of crisis and uncertainty (e.g., responds to local disasters, such as a hurricane)
- Champions new ideas and initiatives that create operational/strategic advantage (e.g., implement a new client billing or employee bonus model)
- Exhibits excellent communication, presentation and listening skills that secure commitment and alignment
- Maintains the highest ethical standards and integrity consistent with our firm's values and the Florida Bar.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree REQUIRED
- Higher Degrees not "required" but would be "preferred" (MBA, Masters, etc.)
Qualifications:
- 7+ years experience as a CEO of 1 or more professional companies
- Law Firm CEO experience is not "required," but it would be "preferred" and earn you a higher salary

Compensation: Our law firm is known to foster a great company culture and retain its employees.
- Base Salary: $180,000 to $230,000
