As the Director of Sales at Blue Flame Management, your general responsibilities will be in revenue, sales and marketing, community involvement, and leadership. Responsibilities in revenue include but are not limited to, aggressively pursuing revenue goals, effectively utilizing yield management and revenue maximization tools, preparing/managing the annual budget and revenue forecasts, and developing and implementing hotel positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible profit. Responsibilities in sales and marketing include but are not limited to, utilizing Sales Pro as a company profile database and tracking sales calls, saturating accounts, reviewing and analyzing the STR Report weekly, reviewing and approving any special corporate negotiated rates, and coordinating, selling, booking, and prospecting all sales aspects. Responsibilities in leadership include motivating, coaching, and training team members, setting goals and holding team members accountable, and providing appropriate feedback, rewards, and recognition, as well as having a strong work ethic, demonstrating a high level of integrity, taking ownership of personal and team actions, communicating effectively, and promoting collaboration, nurturing a positive, professional work environment. Your responsibility in community involvement will be ensuring good standing in the community by developing and maintaining relationships with the Chamber of Commerce, the Convention and Visitor's Bureau, other hotels, local schools, local government, and other community and civic organizations. It is preferred that you have at least an associate's (2-year) degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel Management, or equivalent experience, 2 years of experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area required, minimum of 3 years of experience as a sales coordinator/manager, and proficiency in Microsoft Office application and excellent communication skills.
