The Appraisal Coordinator II is responsible for coordinating and reviewing required appraisal documents during loan transaction process, managing, updating all critical appraisal information, and following up on document requests. Work will be transacted in a fast-paced environment. The position assumes a high degree of accountability. Attention to detail is critical.

Principal Duties:

  • Works with originations team and loan processors to ensure that all required documents are received and reviewed for accuracy so that the appraisal is ordered/processed in a timely manner
  • Engage and coordinate 3rd party vendors for such items as appraisals, property valuations, property profiles.
  • Review completed 3rd party reports, providing summaries and comments highlighting any potential issues to the appropriate lead.
  • Manage document flow between appraisers, valuations, loan processors, loan originators, underwriters.
  • Update and management of loan pipeline.
  • Document and communicate all changes to the loan transaction to ensure information is updated
  • Monitor, identify variance in IV (Internal Valuation), and appraisal
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related area preferred.
  • 2-5 years’ relevant experience, specifically in due diligence and transaction in mortgage loans, preferably mortgage or banking related industry.

  • Must be a highly organized individual with the ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, and effectively manage time and workload.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A true self-starter capable of accomplishing complicated tasks with limited supervision.
  • Self-motivated with strong desire to succeed.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with exceptional follow-through abilities
  • Strong business acumen.
