As a SMERF Sales Manager, you will be a vital contributor to our team, responsible for comprehensive knowledge of market positioning, banquet and food and beverage revenues, pricing structures, and sales strategies. This role encompasses administration, support, and adherence to Endeavor Hotel Group's professionalism and style expectations. Full-time positions come with attractive options for medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Specific job responsibilities include:

  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of market position, pricing, sales strategies, and future hotel planning.
  • Stay fully informed about competitive markets outside the area.
  • Understand the hotel's capabilities and limitations that may impact sales strategies.
  • Follow sales policies and procedures outlined in the annual Marketing Plan.
  • Make personal sales calls and conduct site tours for potential clients.
  • Attend trade shows and develop creative marketing techniques.
  • Achieve and exceed individual and team annual goals established in the Marketing Plan.
  • Evaluate and revise room merchandising parameters for overall revenue impact.
  • Achieve budgeted revenues and expenses, maximizing profitability for the sales department.
  • Maintain correct procedures for credit control, financial transactions, and security of financial assets.
  • Respond promptly to and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions courteously and in a timely manner.
  • Utilize various office and Event software accurately.

Support Function:

  • Possess comprehensive English language skills for effective communication.
  • Assist in designing and preparing statistical reports and presentations.
  • Accurately report information and assist with various accounting department tasks as needed.
  • Scrupulously follow all Driftwood and hotel policies and procedures.
  • Attend required meetings.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • High school education and relevant training and experience required; additional education preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
  • Knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.
  • Exceptional mathematical and computer skills.
  • Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certificates.
  • CPR training and first aid training preferred.
  • Additional language ability preferred.
  • Occasional travel required.
