MUST:
2+ years of experience as a Director of Operations - Clinical
Bachelor’s or graduate degree.
Current Assisted Living Facility Manager Certification in the state of Maryland, or willingness to obtain.
Basic computer proficiency.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Must have a valid driver’s license and must be insurable.
Supervisory experience preferred.
DUTIES:
Plan, organize, develop, and lead the overall work of Health Care operations in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
Develop and maintain written policies and procedures and professional standards of practice that govern the operation of the Health Care center and RSA.
Review facility policies and procedures routinely and make changes as necessary to assure continued compliance with current regulations.
Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the governing board concerning the Health Care Center and RSA.
Make routine inspections of the facility to assure the established policies and procedures are being implemented and followed.
Participated in state surveys.
Review deficiencies. Provide additional information that may aid in the removal or reduction of deficiency.
Develop plans of correction for cited deficiencies. Ensure plans incorporate timetables and methods of monitoring to ensure that such deficiencies do not recur.
Counsel/discipline personnel as needed.
Ensure disciplinary action is administered fairly.
Schedule and participate in department meetings.
Ensure physicians comply with facility policies governing admission, medical treatment, visit requirements, plan of service, orders, etc.
Prepare annual budgetary details to CFO/ED.
Review monthly financial statements.
Process invoices accurately and timely.
Process timecards and PTO requests timely.
Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information including PHI. Report known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure of such information.
Serve as the Quality Assurance Coordinator as requested. Host QAPI meetings and maintain minutes.
Communicate regularly with families and physicians as appropriate.
Assists with the development of the Heath Care Center’s and Resident Services Agency’s (RSA) structure.
Interpret the Health Care Center’s and RSA’s standards and guidelines to team members, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, etc. as required and ensure they are followed.
