Immediately hiring a HR Analyst for a private higher education organization located in Westchester. Hybrid-Remote schedule available. The HR Analyst will be responsible for a variety of data projects related to employment data, payroll, and benefits. We are seeking a technically savvy individual with strong data skills and exposure to HR functions. Well-established department with hands-on training provided and an excellent work culture Contract role to begin.

Responsibilities

  • Has primary accountability for the creation of job records of newly hired staff, faculty, part-time staff and students. 
  • Provide review, analysis and quality assurance of payroll related data. 
  • Processing of salary actions: Position creation, promotions, salary increases, title changes, series of payments, one time payments, and grade level changes.
  • Manage benefit deductions and related data.
  • Employment status changes processing: Part-time to Full-time, reinstatements, percent changes, etc. 
  • Processing final payment separations, vacation and personal day entitlement calculations, and the final termination payment. 
  • Processing all payroll related items: MTIM errors report, missing or incorrect default information. 
  • Correspondence regarding position activation and position begin and end dates. 
  • Processing leaves such as FMLA, unpaid leave, long/short term disability, adjustments and retroactive payments. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • A minimum of one year of experience using HR systems or working on HR team
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills
  • Experience using UKG HRIS is a plus
  • Ability to work with confidential information
  • Good technical aptitude and data manipulation skills
