Our client in Cumming, Ga has an immediate opening for a Production Operator. Seeking manufacturing experienced individuals who can take initiative and has the willingness to learn new skillsets. 

1st shift: Monday-Friday 6:30 AM-3:00 PM
Pay rate: $16.00/hr-$18.00/hr depending on experience

Responsibilities: 
  • Complete packaging, labeling, and carton of products to include label accuracy, package seal integrity, and counts per package and carton (occasional manual packaging and re-packaging of product).    
  • Start-up, operate and shutdown basic technology manual, semi-automatic and automatic assembly/production machines and processes.    
  • Perform quality inspections in accordance to Panduit’s quality systems and procedures and complete all data entry functions.    
  • Safety in accordance to Panduit’s safety guidelines and procedures.    
  • Waste elimination by preforming daily 5S activities.
Qualifications:  
  • Less than one (1) year manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to carry out standard work routines using simple or basic equipment.  A satisfactory standard can be achieved after a few weeks of practical experience.
  • Highly repetitive work, in which, the same task or group of tasks is carried out without any significant variation.
  • Relatively little demand on employees for skill in physical movement or coordination.
  • Understands basic machines, assemblies and tools and processes including their designs and uses.   Can observe basic manual and automated equipment operations so that malfunctions and other abnormalities can be detected; has the ability to monitor, evaluate and adjust basic equipment, as needed.  Can learn new skills and knowledge; is adept at learning company product or technical knowledge; operate equipment using hand/eye coordination.
  • Able to count and use a calculator and standard measuring tools.  Has a general idea regarding the accuracy of data related to transactions; ability to identify errors in data; ability to examine basic job orders to determine details, such as, quantities to be produced, production times, product specifications, colors and color sequences.
  • Requires ability to perform tasks, jobs, and processes with minimal fluctuation within scope of job.  Infrequently requires one to move from one task to another.  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Low levels of visual examination, concentration, and precision over very short durations of time.  Low levels of fatigue sustained through working at regular speeds, with small/delicate parts, and/or working to deadlines or specified standards.
  • Position involves recurrent work in which new problems seldom arise and, when they do, are usually dealt with at a higher level.
  • Work is entirely routine, tasks are clearly defined, choice of action is within very narrow limits, and close and continuous supervision is exercised.
