POSITION SUMMARY:

The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in assisting the Store Manager to foster a customer-centric and product-oriented sales atmosphere. This position emphasizes our core values and guiding principles across all store functions, including sales management, asset protection, and human resources, to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive profitability.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performance Management
  • Evaluates sales data and key performance indicators to identify business needs; collaborates with the Store Manager to implement effective sales strategies.
  • Sets clear expectations and holds the team accountable for meeting brand standards and performance metrics.
  • Manages payroll and inventory budgets efficiently.
  • Oversees essential operational tasks such as scheduling, shrink audits, inventory management, and payroll documentation.
  • Ensures compliance with financial policies, including accurate cash handling and transaction reporting.
  • Maintains adherence to legal regulations and loss prevention policies; provides training to associates on proper procedures.
  • Administers operational processes including inventory logistics and daily stock replenishment.
  • Ensures that the store's visual presentation aligns with brand standards.
  • Fosters a high-performance culture, motivating the sales team to achieve sales and productivity targets.
  • Trains and mentors the sales team on product knowledge and customer engagement techniques.

Team Development
  • Inspires and motivates the store team, cultivating a shared vision and exemplifying core values.
  • Encourages a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Communicates effectively with the team and Store Manager to facilitate positive changes.
  • Seeks opportunities for personal growth and actively requests feedback to enhance leadership capabilities.

Customer Engagement
  • Demonstrates and promotes the principles of exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience.
  • Models sales expectations through effective communication and product recommendations based on customer needs.
  • Addresses customer concerns promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensures a smooth checkout process, staying informed on payment policies and procedures.
  • Encourages team engagement with customers through loyalty programs and personalized communication.

Talent Management
  • Assists in the recruitment and development of a high-performing team.
  • Supports and follows up on training initiatives and development programs.
  • Evaluates and coaches team performance regularly.
  • Collaborates with the Store Manager to resolve HR issues effectively.
  • Recognizes and rewards outstanding team performance to drive engagement.
  • Ensures compliance with all employment policies and practices.

OTHER DUTIES:
This role may encompass various responsibilities across different brands, with some duties varying accordingly.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred 2+ years of experience in retail management.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to adapt to technology utilized by the company.
  • Proven track record of excellent customer service and sales leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership, training, and team-building abilities.
  • Familiarity with administrative aspects of retail operations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff.
  • Regular attendance is essential for meeting company objectives, with flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Constant walking and standing throughout the shift.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent climbing as part of daily responsibilities.
