Overview – Cincinnati Commercial Sales New Business Development Position

The success of the company over the years has been the continual growth of new customers and then performing so well for those customers that American Roofing & Metal Co. becomes their contractor of choice.

To continue you this successful path, the company seeks to bolster our new business development initiatives with a dedicated, focused sales professional who prefers “Hunting” versus “Farming”. Someone who enjoys reaching out to introduce themselves and their company to new companies and new people.

Given the importance of this new role, it will report directly to the Branch Manager of the Cincinnati Office and work closely with the President of American Roofing & Metal, who earlier in his career very successfully developed a significant amount of new business as part of the sales organization.

Please Note: We do NOT require someone with prior roofing experience. We can train that part of the role. It is the talent and drive for hands-on, out in the field, sales skills and success in closing new business that we are seeking.

Roles & Responsibilities

· Work with the Branch Manager of Cincinnati and the Company President to identify a list of prospective new clients to initially work on.

· Introduce the company and yourself to those prospective clients.

· Determine the level of “fit” between American Roofing and each prospective client

· If an appropriate fit, seek to gain the opportunity to work with those perspective clients on a few projects so that they can experience what working with American Roofing offers them on a first-hand basis.

· Continue to draw them in until we are their preferred roofing contractor.

· Continually seek prospective new clients to develop.

 

Support & Training

· The successful candidate will be supported by the company’s estimators and sales administration personnel.

· The successful candidate will be trained and mentored by the Branch Manager of Cincinnati and the Company President.

 

Requirements for the position

· A proven track record of success in a complex sales process.

· Business to Business sales background.

· A strategic thinker who can quickly distill their strategic thinking into actionable tactics they can implement in the market to gain new business.

· Ability to effectively and comfortably communicate with a very wide range of people from roofing labor through to CEOs of our customers’ companies.

· Strong inter-personal skills

· Excellent communicator in-person, in writing and over the phone.

· Values a high level of integrity and ethics.

· Is able to quickly convey their trustworthiness to prospective customers.

· Capable of taking the initiative on what activities you will work on each day, week and month, within the boundaries the company sets.

· Is comfortable working with a laptop and mobile devices.

· Has a good working knowledge of Excel and CRM systems.

· Is team spirited and can work alone also.

· Likes learning new things and strives to grow professionally each year.
