The Chief Medical Officer, as part of the Executive Management team, will lead and oversee the provision of medical services, focusing on population health and integration of healthcare services across four health center locations. Background Profile

  • Board Certified MD/DO in Family Practice or Internal Medicine
  • Clinical leadership experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center as a Site Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, Deputy CMO, CMO, etc. is required for the position
  • Intellectual curiosity about the upcoming changes in the FQHC space with proven ability (or high aptitude) to problem-solve and lead strategic implementation
  • Strong project management skills to drive initiatives in collaboration with healthcare leaders, providers, and staff both internally and externally
  • Systems-change-oriented with previous experience that may include, implementing clinical aspects of CalAIM, leading standardization of clinical guidance, partnering with executive stakeholders to improve processes and training that leads to enhanced provider productivity and clinical outcomes, etc.
  • Ability to paint a vision for provider groups and lead by example
  • Maintains an effective balance between competing priorities, advocating for the organization, the provider, and the patient
  • Builds excitement among provider groups by explaining the “why” when promoting change
  • Comfortable setting expectations, demonstrating active-listening skills to recognize bottlenecks. Adjusts processes and systems as necessary to achieve goals
