Responsibilities

  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project feasibility and identify any obstacles or challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal leadership team, architect/engineers, subcontractors, clients and other stakeholders to develop project plans and timelines.
  • Provide input to cost estimates, budgets, and schedules for construction projects.
  • Monitor project progress, including the quality of workmanship and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Facilitate meetings/discussions with project teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of project activities.
  • Review and interpret technical documentation (drawings, specifications, standards, and related)
  • Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams, resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and technical standards as applicable to the project work.
  • Proactively address issues and challenges that arise during construction task execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related construction field; concentration in industrial/power curriculum track preferred.
  • Experience in construction, preferably in a field engineering role.
  • Working knowledge of civil codes, regulations, and standards (ACI 301 and 315, ASTM C39 and C172, AISC-325 as prime examples).
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with project management software and tools (P6, Ineight, Bluebeam as prime examples).
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction (OSHA 30 certification preferred).
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

The base pay range for this Civil Field Engineer role is $85,260.00 to $94,240.00 annually.
