Job Title: Controls Engineer

At Danaher Corporation, we are committed to advancing future therapeutics from discovery to delivery. We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team in Duncan, SC.

Job Summary:

The Controls Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining our manufacturing and facilities software and hardware systems. This position is part of the Manufacturing Engineering department and will be an on-site position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical mentorship to users and management for software/hardware related issues and queries
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting functions of relevant hardware and software
  • Diagnose problems and carry out calibration/verification or modification
  • Identify opportunities and recommend solutions for improving service, efficiency, and effectiveness of related manufacturing systems
  • Lead or provide support to relevant controls-oriented projects
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field or a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems, their integration with PLC software/hardware, and familiarity with Rockwell and Omron Application software
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Network Services - LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN
  • Experience with design and integration of PLC and SCADA based control system solutions
  • Working experience using C/C++/C# Coding, Structured Text, Visual Basic, Sequential Function Chart
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience participating in or leading Kaizen or improvements initiatives
  • Experience leading technical projects
