Our well-established CPA firm located in Darien, CT is seeking a highly motivated Office Manager / Administrative Assistant to handle the administrative operations of our business. Responsibilities:
- Answer phone, book appointments, answer basic client questions
- Greet and meet with clients and vendors
- File hard copy and electronic documentation
- Mail, postage machine, Fed Ex, certified return receipts, update mail log
- Email, website, Zoom, Teams, Microsoft Office products
- Manage our client portal, billing, and file document system
- Manage our tax return e-filing system
- Tax season admin, scanning, tax organizers, engagement letters, etc.
- Key punch basic tax documents into our tax preparation software
- Assist with transition to a paperless environment
- Ad hoc projects
- Provide feedback and recommendations for improvement on all levels
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5+ years of administrative experience
- Previous experience working for a CPA firm is a plus but not required
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus but not required
- Excellent verbal, writing, organization, and communication skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented with an exceptional degree of professionalism
- Good team player
