Robotics Engineer - Fanuc, ABB, or Kuka Systems
We are seeking candidates with a strong and recent background in robotics, particularly with Fanuc, ABB, or Kuka robots. Candidates should be able to perform advanced programming on at least two of these systems, though we will consider those with strong programming skills in just one. Experience with setup and training on Vision Systems for the robots they are most familiar with is highly desirable. Candidates should also have experience setting up various robot communication protocols such as DeviceNet, Profibus, ProfiNet, and Ethernet IP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create robotic simulations of robotic stations (if Simulation Engineer)
- Write robot software
- Load robot programs and configure I/O
- Path teaching
- Vision teaching (if required)
- Debug support with the team
- Provide installation start-up support
- Offer production support
Skills/Experience Required:
- 2+ years of experience with robotics
- Ability to read electrical and pneumatic prints
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
- High proficiency in robotic path teaching
- Comprehensive understanding of the Cartesian coordinate system as it relates to a robot's EOAT & Frames/Work Objects, with the ability to teach these frames
- Experience with vision systems is beneficial
- Ability to perform basic/intermediate programming in languages such as Visual Basic, C, or C++
- Troubleshooting experience with PLC programs is a plus
- Willingness to travel
Education:
- Associates or Bachelor of Science in a related field (BSEE, BSEET, BS Industrial Automation, Computer Science, Mathematics, Mechatronics, etc.). Equivalent years of experience can be substituted for a degree.
