Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a dependable and secure CNC machining operation while enhancing production rates, efficiency, yields, costs, and changeovers.
  • Participate in the design and development of innovative equipment and tooling.
  • Assist in formulating internal processes and procedures to comply with APQP standards.
  • Oversee manufacturing processes and pinpoint areas for improvement.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and prioritization for Process Technicians and Maintenance personnel.
  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing-related corrective and preventive actions.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated and lean manufacturing solutions.
  • Estimate machining cycle times and tooling needs for both new and existing components.
  • Create manufacturing plans, develop visual work instructions, and collaborate with the design engineering team to address technical challenges and achieve quality and delivery objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Preferred familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with CNC and manual milling and turning processes; robotic handling and programming experience is advantageous.
  • Expertise in cutter selection, spindle feed and speed rates, and cycle time estimation.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
