Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping & Financial Management

  • Accurately record all financial transactions in the appropriate ledgers and journals using QuickBooks.
  • Process invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors (A/P).
  • Issue invoices to customers and manage the collection of accounts receivable (A/R).
  • Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Reconcile bank statements with internal financial records on a regular basis.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and ledger entries.

  • Track sales and commissions for disbursements.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports.
  • Assist with basic financial analysis and budgeting.
  • Identify areas for improvement in financial processes and systems.

Office Management

  • Oversee daily office operations, ensuring an organized and efficient work environment.
  • Provide back-up to the office administrator.
  • Handle customer interactions with professionalism and friendliness.
  • Maintain a neat, but casual office environment.
  • Other tasks as needed for the success of the business.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping and office management, specifically in a small business setting.
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping and office management in a general contractor business is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks.
  • Experience with processing payroll in QuickBooks is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact well with customers and team members.
  • A go-getter personality who is driven, independent, and can think on their feet.
  • Comfortable with a family business environment, flexible, and outgoing.
  • Enjoys being around dogs
