We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Conformance Specialist (CCS) to manage and ensure compliance with contractual agreements for capital and maintenance projects. The CCS will handle documentation flow, facilitate issue resolution, and ensure adherence to contractual obligations between the company and contractors. This role involves extensive interaction with internal departments and external parties to uphold contract standards and manage complex contractual issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Compliance: Oversee the conformance of executed contracts, including scope, specifications, pricing, and special instructions. Ensure all project-specific requirements and clarifications are incorporated into final contract documents.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Facilitate the preparation of contract exhibits, maintain contractor correspondence, and manage documentation logs. Prepare and transmit company-generated correspondence and manage the change order process, including generating directives and reviewing contractor requests.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with Project Managers and Field Cost Analysts to review project progress, manage change orders, and resolve contractual issues. Support contractor negotiations and maintain a project-specific communication plan.
  • Technical Support: Assist in writing technical contract language and ensure compliance with the Project Execution contracting strategy. Implement and manage project contract document control and retention systems.
  • Compliance and Audits: Review contractor invoices for compliance, monitor payments, and support during compliance audits. Coordinate contract close-out procedures and ensure strict adherence to contract terms.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, legal, technical, or business discipline. Alternatively, an Associate’s degree with extensive relevant experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in legal, engineering, construction, or contract administration, with a preference for experience in the gas pipeline industry. Candidates with 7-10 years of experience and an Associate’s degree will also be considered.
  • Skills: Proficiency in contract management processes, technical writing, and documentation control. Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with project management and contract administration tools.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and interact effectively with all levels of personnel.

Work Conditions:

  • The primary location will be a company field office within the assigned project area. This position requires frequent travel, approximately 35% of the time, primarily within the assigned region.
