Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and persuasive Field Sales Representative to join our growing team. In this role, you will engage directly with customers to offer a product that not only helps reduce their light bill but also provides protection against inflation. By locking in a fixed-rate contract, customers can stabilize their energy costs, ensuring they pay more only when they use more, not when rates increase. This crucial service offers financial security, especially during unpredictable economic times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively engage with potential customers at various vetted locations, clearly communicating how switching to a fixed-rate contract can protect them from inflation and prevent unexpected increases in their light bill.
  • Effectively explain how the fixed-rate contract ensures customers only pay more when they consume more energy, not when the energy provider raises rates, thus providing long-term financial stability.
  • Build trust and strong relationships with customers, ensuring they understand the benefits of securing a fixed rate, leading to successful enrollments.
  • Manage your daily sales activities, including selecting work locations from a vetted list, tracking your progress, and reporting results to management.
  • Maximize sales opportunities by participating in events where high customer engagement is expected, with the potential to achieve 15-30+ enrollments depending on the event.

Preferred Experience

Sales Experience

  • Direct Sales: Experience in direct sales, particularly in a field environment, where the candidate has actively approached customers to sell products or services.

  • Effective Communication: Experience in roles that require clear and persuasive communication, especially in explaining complex concepts (such as the benefits of a fixed-rate contract versus a variable-rate contract).
  • Presentation Skills: Experience in presenting products or services to individuals or groups, whether in-person or at events

Adaptability and Flexibility

  • Working in Varied Locations: Experience working in different locations, adapting to new environments, and adjusting sales strategies based on location-specific factors.
  • Self-Management: Experience managing one's own schedule, prioritizing tasks, and working independently in the field without constant supervision.
