Job DescriptionJob Description

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

· Manage the budget and P&L of the operation

· Establishes and manages operational procedures

· Manage, motivate and mentor all warehouse employees to ensure work is completed; Efficiently and effectively in accordance with company policy

· Provide hands on management of hourly staff including; interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, managing work and appraising performance to maintain a strong company culture

· Provides coaching through observations and provide performance feedback.

· Maintains the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment according to company policies

· Submits work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment to the appropriate contacts

· Coordinate warehouse activities with other functional areas such as customer service and sales

· Maintains relationships with customers to provide a high level of customer satisfaction

· Enforce company policies regarding, standards for sanitation, maintenance, safety and security

· Monitors facility key performance indicators (KPI) to run a profitable and productive distribution center

· Reports employee hours into the payroll system on a weekly basis

· Ensures compliance with; ISO, AIB, Hazmat and CTPAT and all other applicable regulatory certificates

· All other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

· Strong problem-solving skills

· Able to work in a fast-paced environment

· Knowledge of warehouse management systems, processes, and procedures

· Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

· Ability to read, analyze, interpret and implement; business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations

· Ability to communicate effectively orally and written word (reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals)

· Ability to effectively present information

· Problem solving skills required

· Accountable – demonstrating individual accountability which results in collective success. This means never adopting a “That’s not my job” attitude. Willing to do what needs to be done.

· Adaptable – able to demonstrate flexibility and agility to ensure customer and client needs are met.

Education and Experience:

· Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent combined with 5 plus years supervisory experience in a warehouse, fulfillment center, distribution center or manufacturing environment.
