Summary: The Account Manager will focus on current clients and sales in an effort to consult and sell all renewal product options. This position will also assist in maintaining client data and post-sales support to the sales teams to maximize the productivity of the sales team. A key area of responsibility is to support the pursuit and closure of a sale emphasizing the value of services.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate on sales strategies and coordinate quotes and sales opportunities with the Renewal Team and Sales Team;
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer requirements. Maintains strong customer relationships:
  • Provide renewal quotes, overcome objections, and adjust proposals as required to ensure the best solution is presented to the client.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and timely information within the company CRM database;
  • Track and provide status updates on all open opportunities;
  • Accurately process pre-sales tasks and post-sales requests;
  • Work with Partner Sales Team to close business;
  • Proactively communicate with existing clients to renew their existing lines and identify opportunities to add lines and services;
  • Proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships with all support and sales team members;
  • Respond to e-mail / phone inquiries from internal and external clients;
  • Communicate with clients in a professional, concise, and effective manner;
  • Build and maintain networking relationships as assigned by management.

Accountabilities and Performance Measures:

  • Meets assigned team quotas for sales, profits, and strategic objectives including individual assigned quotas;
  • Responsible for the effective utilization of company required tools and programs;
  • Achieves strategic teams objectives defined by company management.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • An Ohio license to sell Life, Accident, and Health insurance is required;
  • 2 years experience in Sales or Sales Support;
  • Experience cultivating and developing relationships with clients;
  • Must be skilled in Web based applications including LinkedIn, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook;
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task;
  • Must have superior communication skills (verbal and written, both internal and external to the organization) with the ability to actively listen to management, peers, and clients in order to understanding the points being made and ask questions as appropriate;
  • Ability to problem solve and think outside of the box to meet company expectations;
  • Ability to complete accurate and timely submissions of all required paperwork and documentation associated with client activity;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and display excellent time management skills.

Education:

Four year college degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
