The Training Performance Consultant will be responsible for needs identification, implementation, facilitation, and delivery of high-quality corporate learning programs that support the professional growth and team member development. Position will be primarily responsible for delivering training through a variety of facilitation methods including instructor-led, computer-based, and web-based training. Position will further serve as a data driven, internal performance consultant focused on enhancing organizational effectiveness by identifying operational needs, partnering with the Learning Design, HR, and Talent Acquisition teams, facilitating, and reporting on learning and engagement opportunities and driving solutions that align with company strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Learning Facilitation and Design

  • Selects appropriate instructional tools, tactics, and delivery methods to facilitate training for individual sessions, group instruction, self-study, demonstrations, simulation exercises, role play, online courses and on the job training to ensure effectiveness and employee engagement.
  • Partners with Corporate Learning Design team and business clients to produce/design resources and customize existing training content to meet specific training needs.
  • Delivers content focused on measurable results through changed behaviors and improved performance.
  • Assists with the ongoing facilitation of Corporate training programs which may include Company Orientation, Company Service Culture Training, Job Skills Training, Leadership Development Training, Employee Engagement Programs, etc.
  • Facilitates regular Developmental Practice Labs and Soft Skills Workshops covering topics such as Coaching, Customer Service, Trust, Time Management etc.

Consultation and Performance Coaching

  • Identifies department and enterprise level training needs by conducting surveys, leader interviews, collaborating with subject matter experts, referencing operational KPI’s, and HR performance metrics.
  • In partnership with internal HR Strategic Talent Advisors, assesses business structures, procedures, processes, and resource utilization to inform potential training and change management opportunity.
  • Develops customized learning solutions that drive operational effectiveness, raise team member engagement, and build talent bench.
  • Advises Leadership on efficient and cost-effective people developmental strategies.
  • Assists in development of Personal Development Plans, Career Pathing, and other team member development initiatives and training programs.

Client Support and Program Management

  • Acts as a learning liaison to the organization, sharing and promoting development opportunities to teams and team members seeking growth.
  • Serves as a primary client contact for the Learning and Development (L&D) team collaborating with stakeholders as needed to meet business goals with learning and/or programmatic performance solutions.
  • Assists in managing core L&D programs including sponsored leadership cohorts, curriculum, competitions, and mentorship programs.
  • Supports program effectiveness by implementing processes addressing programming logistics, content/participant feedback, and evaluating operational impact.
  • Partners with Corporate Communication and Brand teams to market L&D programs and course offerings.
  • Supports and helps develop local Trainers by providing guidance, feedback, coaching and tools to support effective delivery of service solutions throughout the organization.
  • Where applicable, partners with Resort/Departments to provide solutions to learning delivery challenges and offers ongoing support to aid in area specific goals, challenges, and initiatives This aid could include creation of additional course content, assisting with rollout communication, or hosting feedback/debrief sessions to teams based on training results.

Analysis and Reporting

  • Establishes metrics and evaluation processes to measure the effectiveness of the training programs.
  • Evaluates training data for trends and insights to be leveraged in development of future training needs or modification of existing coursework and reports out results to key stakeholders.
  • Participates in cross functional data trend review with HR Strategic Talent Advisors and Talent Acquisition to align learning solutions and/or identify coursework gaps.
  • Evaluates impact of development initiatives on team member retention and performance.
  • Communicates L&D updates and course schedules regularly with clients and leadership team.

Qualifications – Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Organizational Development, Education, or related field highly preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of Learning, Development and Facilitation experience required with 2 years of internal/external organizational responsibilities.
  • Strong experience in skills development and capacity building initiatives
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite to generate communication, progress updates and related metrics.
  • Background and experience with Virtual Conference platforms.
  • Able to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (verbally and written) across multiple levels and functional areas.
  • Skilled at building and maintaining productive relationships with peers, leaders, and external providers.
  • Capable of managing competing priorities and the ability to organize and convey complex information across a wide variety of stakeholders.
