Job Description:

The MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) Crib Attendant is responsible for managing the inventory and distribution of maintenance supplies, tools, and parts within a manufacturing or industrial facility. Key responsibilities include:

  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and issuing materials and tools. Perform regular cycle counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Tool and Equipment Issuance: Issue and track tools and equipment to maintenance personnel, ensuring proper documentation and timely returns. Inspect tools and equipment for damage or wear and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Order Processing: Place orders for new supplies and parts based on inventory levels and maintenance requirements. Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including inventory movements, tool issuance, and maintenance requests. Utilize inventory management software to track and update records.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all materials and tools are stored and handled in accordance with safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular safety inspections of the crib area.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to maintenance staff by promptly fulfilling requests for materials and tools. Assist with troubleshooting and resolving inventory-related issues.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in inventory management or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a maintenance environment

Work Environment:

  • Typically works in a warehouse or storage area within a manufacturing or industrial facility
  • May require standing for extended periods and lifting or moving heavy items
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures depending on the facility
