In this role, you will engage in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration support, and employee relations, all while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role offers a dynamic and rewarding experience for those passionate about contributing to the success and well-being of both the organization and its employees. You are a critical thinker that is authentic, tenacious, selfless, possesses a unique ability, and is on the ball.
This candidate will primarily be responsible for assisting in the recruitment process, along with the following duties. The role is not limited to the tasks and responsibilities listed.
Recruitment and Staffing:
- Assist in the recruitment process, including job posting, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and managing candidate communications.
- Assist in the interview process by conducting the initial screening via Google Meet.
- Administer company assessment tests and perform reference checks.
- Administer the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing new hire packets, and conducting onboarding sessions.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and promptly.
- Assist in the offboarding processes.
- Support the administration of employee benefit programs, including coordinating new hire benefits, changes and open enrollment.
- Support the administration of HR documents, such as employee handbooks, policies, procedures, and SOPs.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Assist in payroll processing by collecting and verifying timesheets and attendance records, including paid time off administration.
- Updating necessary spreadsheets used for payroll calculations.
- Responsible for managing internal communications, including employee engagement, recognition programs, workplace culture and supporting the company’s Core Values.
- Act as a point of contact to respond to routine questions on HR policies and procedures.
- Support the HR Manager by assisting in organizing company events and activities.
Education:
- Associates/Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in an HR administrative role or coordinator role.
- Proficient in Google Workspace, including Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Meet, Drive.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Knowledge of HR best practices.
- Knowledge of Payroll Processing, a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Working hours are in-office only, within the regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.
- 20-25 hours per week
- Available for additional hours, if needed by the company
- Base salary $19.00/hour
- Paid Time Off
