Highland Cabinetry, Inc. is looking for skilled and motivated Invetory Assistant to join our team. Under general supervision from the department Lead, this position will perform a variety of duties involving receiving, issuing, handling, and accounting for inventory stock. Might also be responsible for a variety of duties in material handling, pulling cabinets, etc.


Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluates orders to ensure quality on time delivery
  • Reads customer orders, verifies inventory, and pulls items from shelves or bins.
  • Prepares orders for packing and shipping
  • Works independently of others but be able and willing to work as part of a team.
  • Handle day to day inventory movements, allocations, and tracking.
  • Manage tracking systems and act as liaison to other departments to ensure that inventory movements are accurately recorded in real-time.
  • Inventory Cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Rectify inventory variances.
  • Confirms that delivered goods match purchase orders specifications of quantity, condition, part number
  • Conducts daily cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and weekly audit quota.
  • Organize & maintain inventory locations for efficient material storage and handling.
  • Efficiently pick customer & Facilities orders, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is delivered.
  • Must be knowledgeable in the operation of a fork lift, hand truck, electric pallet jack and cherry picker.

Education & Experience

  • Highschool Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Inventory control: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Profecient in computers and genreal technologies
