As an Executive Recruiter for RevenueFusion3, I find and place senior-level executives in eDiscovery and Information Governance roles. I am currently working with a well-known eDiscovery CEO to recruit and fill this VP eDiscovery Business Development role. The role offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $160K—200K in base and between $320K - $400K in OTE.

 

VP Business of eDiscovery Business Development

Overall, Purpose of the Job

The Vice President of eDiscovery Business Development is primarily responsible for successfully driving new client business. This critical role is the primary owner of all eDiscovery and Litigation business lead generation, pipeline development, and ultimate sales conversion activities. Targets include key decision makers at corporations, law firms, and insurance companies. This critical role will develop and execute a strategic business plan to meet or exceed established sales goals.

Business Development personnel are responsible for meeting annual sales and activity quotas and are eligible to participate in the company’s business development commission plan.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage new business opportunities through all stages of the sales cycle. Maintain a robust deal pipeline toward targeted potential accounts to continually grow new business.
  • Work with executive and C-level decision-makers to develop long-term strategic relationships.
  • Coordinate with global marketing and sales enablement to prepare and deliver powerful, persuasive presentations that effectively demonstrate the value of our services and solutions.
  • Evangelist for our brand, representing the company at key conferences and professional events.
  • Collaborate with operations and client engagement services to ensure successful new client onboarding.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 8 years work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience selling SaaS-based solutions within a legal arena including eDiscovery, Litigation, Regulatory, and the like is required.
  • Passion for enterprise transformation, strong interest in technology and how it is impacting today’s legal departments and organizations.
  • Dynamic, persuasive, presence with outstanding communication skills.
  • Success-oriented, self-motivated, resilient, resourceful operator
  • Strong problem-solving skills and skilled at working effectively with matrixed, cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to build relationships within the Litigation team as well as with other company stakeholders and third parties.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives while working in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • For certain roles, priority will be given to candidates who have contacts in and the ready ability to conduct sales meetings in specific geographies.

Salary Range

The salary range for this role reflects the range of factors that inform case-by-case compensation decisions including education, experience, training, licensure, certification, and geography as well as the business and organizational needs specific to the role. Compensation ranges may be broad, reflecting flexibility within the budget and title to consider candidates of varied experience. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this role is $160K—200K in base and $320K - $400K in OTE. Select roles are additionally eligible for Incentive Compensation in the form of our Sales Commission Policy.
