We have an exciting opportunity for a Training Coordinator to join our team. The plant Training Coordinator is responsible for delivery of training content, revision of training materials and tracking of training completion, qualification and re-certification of hourly employees. This role ensures that that the various departments that it supports has the right learning delivered in the proper timeline to support the growth and development of employees. Responsible for coordinating training and learning assessment activities to comply with regulatory organizations (such as OSHA, EPA, and FDA). Will utilize eLearning and other electronic tools to deliver training (such as Alchemy, POKA, and Observations). This role will be a key role in developing competency-based learning, introducing new training delivery methods, and working hand in hand with other departments such as EHS, Quality, WCM, and Operations.

Schedule: Monday- Friday, 7:30 am- 4:00 pm.

Location: Ontario, CA

Payrate: $20-$25 based on experience

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate training programs through a variety of written. verbal, hands-on, classroom and electronic/virtual methods.
  • Validate transfer of knowledge through assessment tools to ensure that new learning is being utilized. While maintaining and reporting on the different eLearning platforms
  • Assist in conducting employee skill evaluations, track, and report on training outcomes, and maintain all training documents and records.
  • Maintain skills matrix and talent development tools and trackers to ensure that plant people capability meets the demands of the business through POKA, including maintenance, organization, and user assignment.
  • Provide status updates to the training manager, including training completion and key actions in progress/completed. Assist and support with training reports for audits.
  • Updates and follow-up with new hire activities and hew hire training/ orientation.
  • Partner with HR team to support and coordinate off-site training for employees. Support and coordinate training for other dept. While also creating work instructions, courses, or observations.
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment including the upkeep of the training room and calendar
  • Support HR department initiatives and efforts as needed. Attends all HR required meetings including 1:1 with Training Managers

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role 1-2 year minimum.
  • Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events in a corporate setting
  • Food manufacturing experience
  • Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools
  • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
  • Experience Alchemy, POKA, Observations or any other eLearning platform is a plus
  • Strong excel knowledge using Pivot Tables
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Strong communication skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines
  • All candidates will be required to undergo a Background check and Drug test

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
