The branch supervisor is responsible for supervising and managing a number of branches. They oversee branch operations, financial performance, branch staff, loan originations and loan collections. Duties include providing excellent customer service, loan approvals and review, and managing and supervising employees.

Branch Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages and supervises branch employees; responsible for day-to-day supervision and leadership
  • Supervise individual branch operations and financial performance
  • Compliance with all lending and collection procedures and processes
  • Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new employees
  • Loan approvals
  • Marketing branches within the community to attract business
  • Review of financial and other reports for performance, trends, and needed action
  • Loan Growth and branch profitability
  • Supervise, Lead, and Coach Branch Managers to obtain individual branch goals by developing and motivating the branch staff

Branch Supervisor Requirements and Qualifications

  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to support and develop managers and staff; mentor and lead
  • Desire to grow branch with new accounts, clients, and businesses
  • Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge
  • Understands financial and operational reports
  • Assists and motivates team members when needed to accomplish branch goals
  • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Accurate and pays attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, or a related field, preferred
  • Previous management experience in the consumer finance industry
  • Good computer skills; experience with lending software, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Citizens was opened by local citizens in 1917 to serve the loan needs of people who have limited access to bank credit. Citizens primarily makes secured and unsecured loans to individuals with less than perfect credit or collateral for personal, family or household purposes. Automobiles and personal property are all acceptable as collateral for secured loans. Citizens also purchases retail installment sales contracts from various retail merchants.

We've added technology that makes loan approvals faster and easier; you can even use our convenient online portal from almost any electronic device We've also opened new locations to make it easier for you to do business with us.

At each office, you'll deal with local, experienced, and qualified people who are eager to help you with your loan request. Loan approvals are made by people who know you and the community.
