Are you ready to lead and shape a dynamic estimating department? We’re seeking an experienced Chief Estimator to drive excellence in our client’s construction team. You will be responsible for department leadership, strategic oversight, talent development, risk management, estimating and bidding. If you bring high emotional intelligence, strong interpersonal skills, and collaborative leadership, we want to hear from you Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.  Expected starting base salary $195,000 to $275,000 per year. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establishing and enforcing efficient estimating processes.

  • Mentoring and managing a talented team of estimators.

  • Collaborating with other departments to enhance overall efficiency.

  • Implementing value engineering strategies.

  • Reviewing cost elements in bids.

  • Recruiting, training, and retaining estimators.

  • Analyzing bidding risks and developing competitive strategies.

  • Preparing comprehensive bid packages for complex projects.

  • Ensuring accurate project cost estimation.

  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and site conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience as a Construction Estimator or related field.

  • Proven ability to prepare accurate and competitive construction bids.

  • Strong understanding of heavy civil construction materials, methods, and costs.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Proficiency in construction estimating software

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Familiarity with relevant drawings and specifications.
