Maintenance Parts Coordinator

The Maintenance Parts Coordinator oversees the procurement, inventory control, and distribution of parts needed to maintain the equipment within the facility. This role will ensure that the necessary parts are available to support maintenance and repair activities. In addition, this role will be responsible for coordinating facility system testing and audits and be the main point of contact for facility vendors and contractors.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identify and procure parts from approved suppliers according to specified requirements and quality standards.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement of parts.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of all parts and materials, including quantities on hand, reorder levels, and lead times including maintaining the CMMS parts catalog system.
  • Receives and inspects incoming shipments for the correct quantity and quality of materials.
  • Track shipments and communicate delivery status to relevant staff members.
  • Identifies and recommends improvements, enhancements, or potential modifications to the spare parts/tooling program
  • Coordinate with maintenance technicians to ensure that maintenance resources, parts, and tool requirements are met in advance of planned preventive maintenance work or other planned project work.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and service providers to coordinate repair and maintenance of facility services and assist coordination of outside resources for company asset maintenance.
  • Perform entire facilities and grounds maintenance audits, as well as report for maintenance leadership review.
  • Perform assigned routine testing and inspection of facility systems
  • Maintain and organize department files and records
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other employees as a team player.
  • Strive to perform in a highly effective manner to ensure Fischer customers receive excellent service and a quality, food-safe product.
  • Support Fischer Brand Values by performing in a highly responsive, collaborative, mindful, and personal manner.
  • Responsible for all Food Safety policies, procedures, and standards, including compliance with the following:
    1. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
    2. Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)
    3. Knife Policy; Glass and Brittle Plastic Policy
    4. Sanitation Procedures; Pest Control Procedure; Non-Conforming Product Procedure
  • Perform other additional duties as needed and assigned by the supervisor and/or manager.

Experience

  • At least five years in a repair and maintenance role.
  • Two years in a parts coordination role
  • Experience with CMMS systems
  • Experience using pallet jacks to move equipment and supplies.
