Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers, designers, and technicians to achieve project goals and foster a collaborative work environment
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety
  • Product Design Enhancement: Collaborate with the design team to refine and optimize product designs, ensuring they meet cost, quality, and safety standards
  • Project Management: Oversee projects from conception to completion, evaluating designs for cost, quality, safety, and feasibility
  • Procurement: Evaluate and justify the purchase of equipment and materials necessary for project completion
  • Technical Support: Provide technical and engineering support for design and manufacturing issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to production
  • Safety and Quality Focus: Maintain a strong emphasis on safety and quality in all engineering practices and processes
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive the continuous improvement of engineering practices to support business growth and innovation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience in a leadership role within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • At least 3 years of project management experience with a track record of successfully managing complex projects
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues
  • Experience in evaluating and justifying equipment and material purchases
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and product design principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Experience with forging, heat, machining, casting, extrusion, and/or assembly is strongly desired
