If you have a passion for animals and excellent customer service skills, we want to hear from you  Join the team as an Animal Care Attendant, where you'll provide compassionate care to our furry residents and ensure their well-being.  

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Demonstrates excellent customer relations with internal and external customers.
  • Feeds animals as scheduled and ensures water is available at all times.
  • Cleans and sanitizes kennel area, equipment, and outside areas of grounds.
  • Maintains inventory of animals, equipment, and supplies.
  • Updates animal information in the Chameleon database and screens animals for disposition, verifying with identification tags.
  • Launders animals' towels, blankets, and toys as needed an reports any health or behavioral problems displayed by animals to the supervisor immediately.
  • Assists customers in finding owned, adoptable, or transferable animals and transports animals to and from adoption events, rescue locations, and the Animal Emergency Room Clinic, including lifting and carrying animals up to 50 pounds.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License
  • Knowledge of humane animal handling, housing, care and feeding procedures.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule 
  • Ability to learn safety procedures and methods used to handle vicious animals.
  • Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position.
