Job DescriptionJob Description

A small specialized recruiting company located in Laguna Hills needs a Recruiter to join their team. This role is responsible for reviewing resumes, screening candidates, and conducting interviews. The ideal candidate will have a background in recruiting for engineering roles.

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity and the hours are Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM. The starting pay is $30-$32 an hour.

Recruiter Responsibilities:

  • Before recruiting, reviews and clarifies personnel requests with client to define needs and best fit for the position in terms of skills and abilities
  • Post and write job descriptions for open positions
  • Review resumes, applications, test scores, and other available information on candidates before selection and hire
  • Interview applicants to gather information regarding education, experience, training, job skills, salary requirements, and proper qualifications for openings
  • Schedules follow-up interviews with company supervisors
  • Makes recommendations as to whether an applicant should be hired, ensures credentials and references meet company standards
  • Monitors drug and alcohol testing for new employees in conjunction with pre-employment physicals
  • Conducts new hire employee orientations and collects required forms through the hiring process
  • Maintains and establishes relationships with client companies
  • Establishes and maintains relations with community-based, governmental, and educational recruiting sources

Recruiter Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of recruiting experience is preferred
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Supplemental Human Resources courses or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of HR information systems for processing and maintaining of employee records
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software and experience with modern office equipment
  • Must be reliable, well organized, and a good communicator
