Metro Atlanta’s No. 1 residential real estate firm is immediately seeking an experienced associate to join our growing team in the accounting department as a Deposit and Banking Associate. This individual will be responsible for processing incoming closings and commissions. Real estate experience is preferred along with the excellent communication, computational acumen and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with adaptability and a high level of accuracy.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Notify accounting team of all incoming operating deposits
  • Record incoming operating deposits in accounting software
  • Assist in approving wire transfers or ACH transactions
  • Facilitate in verifying and or sending operating wiring instructions to clients
  • Review, update, and communicate any closing statuses to the accounting team
  • Communicate with clients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Contribute to team by assisting with other projects as needed
  • Reconcile, maintain, and pay franchise account

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related field of study
  • Minimum one year of accounting experience
  • General understanding of real estate practice and/or property management a plus
  • Proficient with spreadsheet and word processing software

Desirable Skills Include:

  • Capability of handling sensitive and confidential information while conducting himself/herself with a professional attitude
  • Applicant must have the ability to work well, both independently and as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment handling high volume of work while maintaining quality and accuracy
  • Possess a strong work ethic, be considered dependable/reliable and have a sharp eye for detail
  • Work in a thoughtful and thorough manner
  • Members of the accounting department must possess strong computational and analytical skills
  • Other necessary qualities include strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage time well, the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, a problem-solving attitude, and the willingness to take initiative and exhibit resourcefulness

This position is full time. It will require shadowing of several roles within the department to assist or fill in on an as-needed basis. Please respond with your resume for consideration.
