Job Title: Director Accounting
Location: Onsite - Atlanta Office
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Reviewing and analyzing financial data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Leading the budgeting process, including the development of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitoring and analyzing budget variances and making recommendations for corrective actions.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining effective internal control systems to safeguard the company’s assets.
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and external regulations.
- Coordinating and managing internal and external audits.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, such as tax filings and financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS)
- Managing and mentoring the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Overseeing cash flow management, including cash forecasts, liquidity analysis, and investment strategies.
- Managing relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborating with other departments to align financial planning with business objectives.
- Identifying financial risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensuring proper insurance coverage and managing risk-related policies.
- Managing tax compliance, including the preparation and filing of tax returns.
- Overseeing the implementation and maintenance of financial software and systems.
- Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data through proper system controls.
- Communicating financial performance and insights to stakeholders, including the board of directors, investors, and regulators.
- Preparing and presenting financial reports and analyses to senior management.
- Providing finance updates and participate in financial reviews with the team in China
Requirements
- Fluent in both Chinese and English
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certificate holder.
- Proven experience leading finance team with at least 10-12 years in a similar role.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Experience in Pharma/Medical equipment/Biotechnology industry
