Maintenance Supervisor

Aegis Worldwide is currently partnered with one of the most recognized and largest metal extrusion companies in the world. 80% of the job is tackling the day to day job of fighting maintenance fires with the team, and 20% will be supporting with CAPEX projects, strategy, and other long-term goals for the department. This is a Union facility, so someone that is comfortable working in a Union plant is critical, even though this Maintenance Supervisor will actually be a NON Union employee This means that the Supervisor will NOT be able to jump in and turn wrenches, however a big part of their job will be moving from job to job and coaching the team through issues. They’ll also be looking for ways they can help whether it’s ordering parts, giving direction, or tracking down information. The primary breakdowns that occur in the facility are generally mechanical in nature, however this Supervisor will need to have a basic knowledge base of electrical issues in a 480V environment.

-This supervisor will be on a salary with the ability to still make 1.5x pay when working overtime hours each week

Requirements:

·       3-5+ years of experience in a Supervisory position. They will step in and have a team of 13 reporting into them including a Planner, Parts Room, and Mechanics.

·       Maintenance Certifications/Training – whether it’s through schooling or experience, the ideal candidate will have a density of maintenance experience themselves as a Mechanic.

·       Strong background in troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment – could be any type of industry so long as it’s manufacturing. Issues are primarily mechanical on presses, pumps, scrubbers, and motors.

o   Will need to understand basic electrical troubleshooting up to 480V.

·       Hydraulics experience – they have two large hydraulic presses that are some of the most intricate Hydraulics on machinery. Will likely be a learning curve for this person but the more hydraulic experience, the better.

Nice to Have:

·       Union experience – not a requirement but would be nice knowing how a Union operates. 

·       CAPEX project experience – won’t be a large involvement but would be helpful if they’ve participated in CAPEX planning

·       Automation equipment background – this is more for the future as this plant plans to expand their automation capabilities.
