Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the department is actively engaged, and works with the Supervisor to meet daily production requirements and production schedule. The lead operates multiple machines within all departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Champion safety initiatives and promote a strong safety culture.
- Communicate job expectations; Enforcement of standards, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain employee engagement.
- Develop employees through regular coaching and with praise and recognition. Conduct annual performance reviews.
- Ownership of daily production scheduling. Assign overtime as needed to meet service demands.
- Meet or exceed plant KPIs.
- Execute production orders using an MRP system, by following the manufacturing procedures.
- Responsible for the maximization of production efficiencies while minimizing costs and labor.
- Participate and fulfill appropriate responsibilities as defined in the QMS/EMS/LMS Management System manuals.
- Work closely with the raw material planner and customer service to ensure delivery on time and in full.
- Participates as a Team member in the continuous improvement process.
- Maintain a robust training program to ensure continuous skills improvement.
- Collaborate with the maintenance department to maximize equipment maintenance programs and prioritize proper PM schedules which will ensure mechanical performance.
- Promote an environment where team members are engaged and committed to the success of the Company.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
- Minimum of two (2) year Associate Degree in manufacturing and/or Engineering and/or Management related fields and/or equivalent.
- Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
