Job DescriptionJob Description

Phasr Industries is seeking an Estimator to join our team. This is a great opportunity to grow with us. Phasr Industries is a manufacturer of protection and control panels. We are seeking a skilled estimator with an eye for quality to join our team in Southern Utah. In this position, you will estimate all costs associated with the manufacturing of protection and control panels.

 

As an ESTIMATOR, your job responsibilities would be as follows:

  • Interface closely with customers and/or project managers on defining scope of supply
  • Create bills of material from drawings and/or schematics
  • Procure pricing from vendors to ultimately create a proposal
  • Input and maintain information listed in database and/or CRM system regarding quotes
  • Manage quoting schedule
  • Accountable for the commercial success, customer satisfaction, and delivery of assigned quotations
  • Analyzing bid documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
  • Determining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product
  • Preparing bill of material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service
  • Creating labor estimates for any project
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors
  • Managing bids from vendors and contractors
  • Using bid data to prepare detailed cost analysis
  • Presenting prepared estimates to management and other stakeholders
  • Compiling and recording actual costs

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • High school diploma or a GED equivalent
  • Computer skills including MS Office experience with Excel and Access
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
  • Communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Attention to detail
  • Organizational and planning skills
  • Reliable
  • Adaptive
  • Customer service centered

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  • AutoCAD experience
  • Prior experience as an estimator

 

The time requirements will vary depending on workload. Hours are typically Monday-Thursday, no weekends.
