Position Summary

This internship role is designed for individuals seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills in construction management. The intern will work closely with seasoned Estimators and Project Managers to gain hands-on experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in project management tasks as a trainee.
  • Learn the processes involved in bidding and executing heavy construction projects.
  • Utilize current bidding software effectively.
  • Support the setup of contracts and subcontracts.
  • Collaborate with estimators and project managers.
  • Participate in construction crew activities.
  • Engage with foremen to understand job preparation and setup.
  • Gain insights into the use and operation of construction equipment.
  • Work alongside the Operations Manager and accounting team on monthly forecasts.
  • Develop an understanding of job costing.
  • Review project workloads and financial statements.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a similar field.
Work Requirements
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions and correspondence.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematical operations and data interpretation.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
  • Familiarity with database software and typing skills.

  • Valid driver's license is required.
