AOI Inspector/Operator I- Anoka MN

1st shift- Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm

BGC and Drug Test are required     

                                                                                                                                               

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To ensure in process or final product meets specifications before being provided for further processing, or shipment to the customer.

 

Essential JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

        Accurately perform automated optical (AOI) inspection of assemblies in production mode, including shutdown and start-up

·            Perform equipment non-routine and weekly/monthly preventative maintenance

·            Understand all production processes that relate to inspection; use industry standards and good judgement in determining acceptable standards.  Read and comprehend documentation relating to phases of production, such as customer-supplied blueprints, parts lists, etc.

·            Act as an authorized agent to stop production when nonconformances are noted and report any errors or major discrepancies to the Group Leader immediately, so immediate corrective action may be taken.

·            Record all AOI daily run information, keep accurate and detailed records.

·            Keep rejected product segregated from accepted.

·            Responsible for compliance to Quality Management System and other regulatory and statutory requirements as required by the customer

·            Accountable for accepting responsibility for continuous on the job training by actively participating in training put on by designated Company employees and/or any outside service

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·            Assist with visual inspection, as needed

·            Actively participates in quality efforts and support the Quality Policy through accountable action

        Contributes to maintaining a safe work environment by following safety policies and procedures, reporting any safety concerns, and participate in any scheduled stretch breaks

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

·            Must be 18 years of age or older

·            Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident 

·            Education:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, or related work experience

·            Experience:  Basic mathematics and data entry skills required.  Basic knowledge of electronic assembly helpful and inspection experience preferred. 

·            Physical Demands:  Ability to perform high manual dexterity and repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for up to 8 to 10 hours a day.  Ability to lift, push and pull 10 to 25 pounds.  Must have good eyesight, as well as the ability to adjust focus and differentiate between colors.

·            Mental Demands: Reading documents such as blueprints, bill of materials, workmanship standards, and equipment procedures.  Problem solving, confidentiality, basic math skills, verbal and written communication, detailed work.

·            Equipment Used: Hand tools, calipers, microscope, ring light, meters, copier and computer.

·            Flexibility to work in other departments and extra hours when needed, including weekends
