Job DescriptionJob Description

Our client, a major Commercial Bank located in Southern Florida is seeking their Vice President of Receivables Purchase Financing (“VP RPP”) He / she will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the Receivables Purchase Financing Team (“RPP Team”), which encompasses the growth and development of the Receivable Purchase Program in the United States. This position is responsible for driving revenue growth while implementing appropriate risk management strategies within the Bank’s risk appetite framework.

 

The V.P. RPP provides the RPP Team with strategic oversight; driving continuous operational improvement and performance monitoring and associated analytics; identifying new product opportunities, business development support and continuous product structing/refinement; and creating and fostering a positive work environment in the RPP Financing Team that is conducive to the achievement of the Bank’s overall and RPP Team’s respective objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

· He / she will oversee the strategic and operational planning, vision, leadership, implementation and execution of all structured finance program objectives which support the Bank’s overall enterprise-wide strategy and performance targets.

· Lead the development of the RPP Team related business plan, budget and operational plans; quantitative modeling; and performance metrics that incorporate relevant economic and market data.

· Oversee monitoring of RPP Team’s performance monitoring, analysis and reporting.

· Oversee the Investment Risk and Control and Structured Finance departments to ensure adherence to the Bank’s overall strategy, risk appetite, policies and regulatory obligations.

· Lead the development and monitoring of departmental overhead budgets.

· Assist the Chief Risk Officer & CISO in the development of the Bank's Enterprise Risk Management Program, where appropriate, to ensure alignment with the Bank's strategic and business plans.

 

New RPP Financing Business Development

· Provide strategic leadership in the development of new structured, corporate and consumer lending programs that have the potential to further drive the Bank’s profitability.

· Lead the development of new RPP related products/services as well as any related business plans, risk assessments and pro forma models.

· Support department heads on the performance of economic forecasts and risk analysis associated with new business development that might be associated with or impact RPP operations.

 

Regulatory and Corporate Compliance

As applicable within the scope of the duties and responsibilities of this position:

· Remain informed, knowledgeable and compliant with the applicable laws, rules, regulations and prescribed practices (regulatory requirements); corporate strategy, decisions, policies, practices and performance targets; and other external or internal requirements that impact your functional areas of responsibility.

· Ensure your functional areas of responsibility are in compliance with their regulatory and corporate obligations.

· Provide reports and analysis that may be required by senior management, BSA Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Internal Auditor, or the Board and its committees; or to provide information required by regulators; and

· Ensure your functional areas of responsibility are in compliance with the Bank’s Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP).

 

People Management

As applicable within the scope of the duties and responsibilities of this position:

Lead and manage the employees who work within your functional areas of responsibility (“Team.”)

· Ensure members of your Team receive the training they require to perform their duties, understand their responsibilities for compliance with the appropriate aspects of the Bank’s regulatory obligations and corporate policies, and are familiar with the Bank’s priorities, business plan and strategic direction.

· Establish performance expectations, provide feedback and formally review performance annually with each member of the Team; and

· Ensure that that during a scheduled temporary absence from work, your replacement, is up to date concerning key projects, important issues, significant activities etc., and will not be absence from work at the same time.

 

Operational Risk

· Be aware and manage operational risk applicable to the position’s areas of responsibilities, design and implement policies and procedures that are adequate and effective in managing operational risks and ensure that department staff is aware of such policies and procedures.

· Monitor day-to-day compliance with operational policies and procedures applicable to the position’s business activities and report to the Chief Risk Officer & CISO quarterly on operational risk events.

 

Business Continuity

· Ensure all critical documents of the position’s business activities are either safely stored off-site or are scanned in the Bank’s computer systems.

· Ensure all of the Team are familiar with the Bank’s Business Continuity Plan.

· Recommend changes to the Business Continuity Plan with respect to the position’s business activities.

· Generally, ensure that the position’s business activities have an effective business continuity plan in place.

 

Other Senior Management Duties

· As a member of the Senior Management Team, participate in exercising duty of care associated with the collective corporate leadership, direction and decisions of the Bank.

· Support the Board and its Committees on matters related to the functions assigned to this position including responding to questions and making presentations to the Board or its Committees, as necessary.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

· Undergraduate degree in commerce, finance or accounting disciplines

· Post graduate degree (MBA) is preferred.

· Expert knowledge of securitization.

. Credit Trained from a reputable bank training program is a plus.

· Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a fast paced, growth-oriented environment.

· Demonstrated ability to develop excellent relationships with clients.

· Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to work effectively at all levels within the organization

· Proficient with MS Word and Excel

· Minimum of eight years in-depth lending and relationship management background in large volume financing environment including extensive experience with securitization transactions.

  • Credit adjudication experience is considered an asset
  • Proven professional network in the securitization market definite asset
  • Proven coaching, leadership and people management skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking, negotiation, mediation skills
  • Excellent risk analysis and assessment abilities.

 

Position Reports to the Bank President

Compensation:

Base Salary: 210k-220k base plus bonus up to 60% of salary plus auto allowance and all benefits.
