Assistant Manager

Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to team members in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
- Manage daily operations; direct and monitor workflow to maintain optimal production levels and ensure exceptional customer service
- Grow membership base and maintain strong relationships with employees, customers, and vendors
- Anticipate and actively listen to customer needs; facilitate prompt and positive resolution of customer issues or concerns
- Establish and document performance goals and provide ongoing staff training and development
- Ensure continuous improvement of employee performance through skill assessment, coaching, performance review, recognition/incentives, and corrective action planning
- Generate and manage employee work schedules in accordance with current and projected service needs; coordinate daily labor activities, ensuring coverage during peak times
- Effectively communicate and exemplify professional behavior and company values
- Execute site inspections for cleanliness and safety, ensuring equipment is in working order and the site is clean, neat, attractive, and safe for employees and customers
- Supervise equipment maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues, and maintain accurate service records
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation
- Coordinate site safety plan and government regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- At least six months experience in a leadership role; one year customer service experience
- Proven leadership competencies, including sound decision-making and judgment, initiative, goal orientation, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and conflict management
- Organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Team orientation with the ability to foster unity, create a positive work environment, and motivate others
- Basic knowledge of computer software systems, including word processing and POS software
- Bilingual preferred but not required
