Customer Service Representative Compensation

  • The pay for this position is $17.00 per hour for English Speaking, 17.75/hr for Bilingual Spanish
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Benefits Customer Service Representative Highlights

  • The required availability for this position is:
    • Monday-Friday between 7AM-7PM CST
    • Must live within 1 hours of the site
    • Fully Remote
  • During our busy season you will be expected to work a 40-hour week and overtime when requested.
  • During our off season, your hours will fluctuate between 32 to 40 hours depending on client need.
  • NO WEEKEND SHIFTS Monday through Friday only
  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

Benefits Customer Service Representative Responsibilities

  • As a Benefit Customer Service Representative, you will have the rewarding opportunity to help our client plan participants through the enrollment process and when making updates to their health care and/or pension plans.
  • We allow you the freedom to take the time necessary to provide the highest level of service on each contact.
  • You will spend your day on the phone, with opportunities to assist with chat and message center as you gain additional experience.
  • Quickly build rapport and respond to plan participants in a compassionate manner by identifying and exceeding expectations by responding in a respectful, accurate, timely manner, consistently meeting commitments via phone, email, and instant message
  • Ability to customize customer service approach to meet all types of communication styles and personalities while maintaining professionalism and diplomacy during difficult calls
  • Handle confidential information with sensitivity and discretion in accordance with HIPAA and Data Privacy laws and company data security requirements
  • Skillfully translate health and welfare and pension terms, complex plan information and processes into simple explanations and instructions that customers can understand and act upon.
  • Read and understand client’s plan documents and online knowledgebase tools while collecting relevant information to determine immediate requests/questions and to anticipate the future needs of the member

Benefits Customer Service Representative Requirements

  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ Years Call Center or Phone Receptionist
  • Strong Computer Skills
  • Remote but need to be able to commute to the office if you have internet issues
  • Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

  • 30+ WPM Typing Speed
  • Call Center Experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish or French
